Build It and They Will Come

Today it looks like a lonely baseball field but things are about to change. Home Plate will become center stage for a massive platform over sixty feet wide. I am being told that it will take about a dozen people, a full days work, just to erect the stage and get it all set up for Noon on Friday. So Thursday should be a wild day, with vendors setting up and final details being taken care of.

Many people still keep asking us how many people will be coming. Our answer has been the same since we started planning this, "All of them." We really have no idea and we know the weather will be a major factor. That we are not able to control, however we are glad to see it raining on this Friday before the event and maybe it will be all over with come next weekend.

A lot of people have helped us to put this all together and another large group of people are going to be helping us during the event. We are not joking as we say that hundreds of people have in one way or another helped us make this happen. It is a party for the military, the veterans, the 21st birthday for the Porcupine Press Publications and also for all those that made this event come true.
