Submarine Sailors Dive Deeper then Lie About It

Sometimes I get things sent to me that really gets my blood pressure rushing to all time highs. Today was one of those days. For those of you that don't know, I spent about six years of my life serving on submarines in our Navy. My last sub was the USS Scorpion SSN589 and I got out of the Navy in 1964. In 1968 the Scorpion went down for the last time and never came back up, resulting in the loss of all hands.

For years, our Navy stood on the grounds that it was an accident and I and many others never fully believed their story. A few months ago a writer who spent half his life digging into the facts of this event, published his book called "Scorpion Down" exposing all the cover ups and lies, both our government and the Russians put out to mask the truth. Not only did a Russian submarine torpedo sink the Scorpion in ambush, our government knew they did it and let it ride. They didn't think we had a right to know the truth. Things are pretty much like that still today and maybe even more so.

Strange as it may seem, when we were looking to fill the fifth and last spot for a band to play at our BASH 2010 "Saluting Our Military," we were considering a few bands. The list got cut to only one band when we learned some inside facts about the band called, "Red, White & Blues." It became a no brainer when we learned that one member is an active member of the National Guard, another is a Vietnam vet, and one is a son of a submarine sailor who lost his life when his submarine named the Scorpion sunk when he was only a baby. Wow . . . if you think that it is odd that a submarine with of crew of just shy of one hundred men would have two of us from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, it gets better than that.

The navy had sent me to radio school and then to submarine school and then to the fleet. A new kid, right out of radio school was the last thing they needed and I got handed many different jobs while I and the captain tried to find the right spot for me. It came to pass that we became short handed after losing a cook and I was put in that job until they cold get one. They never did find a new one and I guess I just became one. I hadn't poisoned anybody and nobody had thrown their food back at me, so they started calling me a cook. Well, the point that is more than strange, is that the dad, that was lost, was also a cook and might have replaced me when I got out of the Navy.

Now, all that aside, we need to focus on two things I had mentioned above. One, the people in Washington are very good at covering up things they do not want you to know, for whatever reason they feel is right. Two, I know about submarines and what they can do and stay up with who has what and why. What I am about to add here, needs to be read and then keep in mind I think this just could be very true. If I didn't think so, it would not be here for you to read.

Here is the site for the original story to see for yourself, then follows the story as I got it as an e-mail. . . .

US Orders Blackout Over North Korean Torpedoing Of Gulf Of Mexico Oil Rig

A grim report circulating in the Kremlin today written by Russia's Northern Fleet is reporting that the United States has ordered a complete media blackout over North Korea's torpedoing of the giant Deepwater Horizon oil platform owned by the World's largest offshore drilling contractor, Transocean, that was built and financed by South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., that has caused great loss of life, untold billions in economic damage to the South Korean economy, and an environmental catastrophe to the United States.

Most important to understand about this latest attack by North Korea against its South Korean enemy is that under the existing(?) laws of war, it was a permissible action as they remain in a state of war against each other due to South Korea's refusal to sign the 1953 Armistice ending the Korean Conflict.

To the attack itself, these reports continue, the North Korean cargo vessel, Dai Hong Dan, believed to be staffed by 17th Sniper Corps (suicide) troops, left Cuba's Empresa Terminales Mambisas de La Habana (Port of Havana) on April 18th; whereupon it severely deviated from its intended course for Venezuela's Puerto Cabello bringing it to within 130 miles of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform which was located 50 miles off the coast of the State of Louisiana where it launched an SSC Sang-o Class Mini Submarine (Yugo class) estimated to have an operational range of 200 miles.

On the night of April 20th the North Korean mini-submarine manned by these (suicidal) 17th Sniper Corps soldiers attacked the Deepwater Horizon with what are believed to be 2 incendiary torpedoes causing a massive explosion and resulting in 11 workers on this giant oil rig being killed outright.

Barely 48 hours later, on April 22nd, this North Korean mini-submarine committed its final atrocity by exploding itself directly beneath the Deepwater Horizon causing this $1 Billion oil rig to sink beneath the seas and marking 2010's celebration of Earth Day with one of the largest environmental catastrophes our World has ever seen.

To the reason for North Korea attacking the Deepwater Horizon, these reports say, was to present US President Obama with an impossible dilemma prior to the opening of the United Nations Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) set to begin May 3rd in New York.

This impossible dilemma facing Obama is indeed real as the decision he is faced with is either to allow the continuation of this massive oil leak catastrophe to continue for months, or immediately stop it by the only known and proven means possible, the detonation of a thermonuclear device.

Russian Navy atomic experts in these reports state that should Obama choose the nuclear option, the most viable weapon at his disposal is the United States B83 (Mk-83) strategic thermonuclear bomb having a variable yield (Low Kiloton Range to 1,200 Kilotons) which with its 12 foot length and 18 inch diameter, and weighing just over 2,400 pounds, is readily able to be deployed and detonated by a remote controlled mini-sub.

Should Obama choose the nuclear option, it appears that he would be supported by the International Court of Justice who on July 8, 1996 issued an advisory opinion on the use of nuclear weapons stating that they could not conclude definitively on these weapons use in extreme circumstances or self defense.

On the other hand, if Obama chooses the nuclear option, it would leave the UN's nuclear conference in shambles with every Nation in the World having oil rigs off their coasts demanding an equal right to atomic weapons to protect their environment from catastrophes too,
including Iran.

To whatever decision Obama makes, it remains a fact that with each passing hour this environmental catastrophe grows worse. And even though Obama has ordered military SWAT teams to protect other oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico from any further attack, and further ordered that all drilling in the Gulf of Mexico be immediately stopped, this massive oil spill has already reached the shores of America and with high waves and more bad weather forecast the likelihood of it being stopped from destroying thousands of miles of US coastland and wildlife appears unstoppable.

And not just to the environmental catastrophe that is unfolding, the only devastation to be wrecked upon the United States and South Korea by this North Korean attack as the economic liabilities associated with this disaster are estimated by these Russian reports to be between $500 Billion to $1.5 Trillion, and which only a declaration of this disaster being an act of war would free some the World's largest corporations from bankruptcy.

Important to note also in all of these events was that this is the second attack by North Korea on its South Korean enemy, and US ally, in a month; as we had reported on in our March 28th report titled "Obama Orders Immediate Stand-down After Deadly North Korean Attack." To date neither the Americans or South Korea have retaliated, giving one senior North Korean party leader the courage to openly state that the North Korean military took "gratifying revenge" on South Korea.

And for those who believe that things cannot get worse, you couldn't be more mistaken. New reports coming from Japanese military sources are stating that North Korea is preparing for new launches of its 807 mile intermediate range ballistic "Rodong" missile. Russian Space Forces experts state NK is able to deploy and detonate an atomic electromagnetic pulse (EMP) device, which if detonated high in the atmosphere could effectively destroy the American economy for years, if not decades, to come.

Comments are open and I hope everyone has on opinion of this!

NOW FOR A BAND THAT MISSED THE CUT

We feel it is also important to share with you all, one of the bands that just missed being asked to play at our "Saluting our Military" weekend event. As we can guess at this time, they might only have made an impression with one song, but it is sure to be a classic. The title speaks for its self, "Take My Drunk Ass Home" and as the name implies, only time will tell, if it might have been a theme song for the event. One thing is for sure, if this band had been allowed to play at the BASH 2010, then the Michigan's motorcycle helmet law should be mandatory for event goers. You will see what we mean with their Hit Song Video . . .

LAST BAND SIGNED FOR THE BASH 2010

Somebody always has to be last, and the band that was picked last for the BASH 2010 will make the Sunday noon to 4 pm spot honorable as they close the show. They call themselves "Red, White & Blues" and they will be coming to us after an impressive list of engagements earlier this summer. May 22 & 23 they will be playing in Green Bay Wisconsin at the Packer's Lambeau field in an event for veterans called "LZ Lambeau."

June 5th they take the stage at the Hitch N Post in Aurora, Wisconsin, then follow that up with the Blaney Park Rendezvous in the U.P. of Michigan on June 18th, before rushing back to Crivitz,Wisconsin to play at the Caldron Fall Bar & Grill. Florence, Wisconsin has them for the Longrider's Motor Cycle Club "Spring Fling" before heading over to Rhinelander on July 3rd at Rocky's Roadhouse. July 17th they come to Kingsford, Michigan again for the UP Hog Wild BBQ and Music Jam and that night they race back to Crivitz, Wisconsin to the Caldron Falls Bar & Grill. August 11, they do the "Bands at Badger" in Peshtigo, Wisconsin.

So they should be pretty well warmed up when they get to our BASH 2010 "Saluting Our Military" event the last weekend in August. Here is what we know about the band members:

Russ "Fingers" Fennick has played bass in several hard rock & metal bands. Russ has traded the black leather and spandex for buckskin and camo, but still won't cut his hair. Now he's back to the roots of all rock and roll holding the bottom end down playing the blues.

Jay “Ernie” Olivares has kept his kids awake while practicing the drums for their whole lives. Now that they’ve grown up and moved out, he keeps us in time by pounding them skins. Really though, Jay has been playing drums since his high school days in Los Angeles in 1964 and played in bands in the Los Angeles music scene, as well as scoring a hit single with The Prophets of Doom out of Escanaba in the late sixties.

Rick "Sugar White" Bailey arrived in the U.P. by driving all the way up from Mississippi on a John Deere tractor and one tank of gas! Rick lives the blues. Rick is an accomplished harp player and singer. Rick draws from life’s experiences and really expresses it in his voice. Rick is a member of the Memphis Blues Foundation and was a judge at the IBC Blues challenge.

Jay "JJ Blues" Davis started the local blues rock band Lone Wolf with his brother Harley in 1997. Since then Jay has played in several local bands, namely SPLIT ROCK with Russ Fennick. Jay plays Fender Stratocasters and is really devoted to the tone and style they present. Inspired by the likes of Hendrix, Trower, Clapton, John Mayer, and other "electric blues" sounds. Jay really hits his groove with the darker side of the music, the drive up and the volume on "11". Jay has a "green book" full of tunes, and enjoys writing and playing blues rock tunes. The original songs performed by the band have been written by Jay.

"Piano Man" Dan Germic started playing guitar as child, 8 or 9 years old. He took lessons for only a few months, then heard the Booker T. classic Green Onions. As the powerful Hammond B3 sound echoed through his tiny transistor radio, he knew then he had to play the organ. Dan talked his parents into trading in his guitar and buy an organ. In his teenage years he listened to the likes of Jon Lord (Deep Purple) and Ray Manzarek (Doors). Growing up in the U.P. he didn't get a chance to hear much classic blues on the radio. It wasn't until his teenage years that he realized that all the bands he really liked, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Foghat, and Eric Clapton, were really just reworking old blues tunes. Then he was was hooked on the real blues. Dan has played with rock/country bands in the Iron River area for several years.
